Hylton S. Grace is a Jamaican poet and storyteller who draws on his Eastern St. Thomas upbringing and its rich traditions, using words, folklore, and ancestral stories to bridge the worlds of heritage, modernity, and everyday life. He runs a monthly floetry group at the Harquail Studio.

Arthur McTaggart is an emerging Caymanian performer who discovered his passion for theatre later in life, making his stage debut with Wha Happening 2024 and bringing his natural humour, energy, and lifelong love of performance to Gimistory.

Dexter Bodden, known as the “Calypso Cowboy” and “Coconut Cowboy,” is a legendary Caymanian country and calypso musician whose distinctive storytelling through song has entertained audiences across Cayman and internationally, including as a longtime Gimistory performer.

Jevaughnie “Jevy” Ebanks is a celebrated Caymanian media personality, performer, storyteller, and filmmaker whose career spans Gimistory, theatre, radio, television, and film, with more than a decade of experience entertaining audiences locally and internationally.

Matt Brown is a versatile Caymanian actor, producer, filmmaker, musician, and media personality, celebrated for his engaging performances with Wha Happening, Gimistory, and Rundown as well as his work championing Caymanian history and culture through entertainment.

Virginia “Auntie V” Foster is a beloved Caymanian storyteller, educator, poet, ceramicist, and cultural advocate who has been part of Gimistory since 2005, captivating audiences with Anansi tales while championing Caymanian heritage and the arts.

Martin Keeley is a longtime storyteller, educator, and environmentalist who blends his theatrical experience with his passion for conservation, bringing his acclaimed Marvellous Mangroves programme and stories to audiences in Cayman and around the world.

Michael Khan - Old Man Pappie

Michael Khan, known as “Ole Man Pappie,” is a celebrated Guyanese storyteller, artist, educator, and folklore researcher who brings Guyanese oral traditions, legends, puppetry, and Creole culture to life through dynamic performances, including his longstanding connection with Gimistory.

Dave Martins & The TradeWinds

Dave Martins and the Tradewinds were a defining force in Caribbean music and culture, with Martins’ witty, storytelling-driven songs celebrating Caribbean identity and humour, while his long-standing connection to the Cayman Islands helped shape its cultural community and supported the creation of Rundown and Pirates Week.
